One of the First in Family Law to Offer Traditional and Express Legal Services
There are several ways that our family law and divorce attorneys can help you through your case – Uncontested services, Court representation, mediation, and collaborative law, among others, are all services that we offer. All of our attorney representation involves working closely with our skilled family lawyers throughout every step of your case.
Free Appointment/Phone Call
A free appointment, or an informational call, is to help further guide you in the right direction. If you still don’t know what you need yet, let us help you decide! All of our free calls are scheduled with Christy, our in-house Master life coach and Director of client development; Marissa, our associate attorney, or our law clerk or friendly staff. Our team will let you know what kind of appointment is right for you and which attorney will be best suited to help. CLICK HERE to schedule a FREE phone call.
Paid Appointment
A paid appointment, or “a planning session,” is the first time the attorney formally reviews your issues. If you’re looking for advice on your case, this is the right option. At any time after the appointment, you might decide to retain the attorney. Unlike a free informative call, during the planning session, an attorney-client relationship is created, meaning the attorney can give advice, must adhere to strict rules of confidentiality, and is “conflicted out” of representing the adverse side. We go through finances, family issues, and detailed facts. Having a real-life plan as well as understanding your best, worst, and common scenarios gives peace of mind and makes the process much less scary. After all – the scariest thing is not knowing what is coming next. Our planning sessions range in price from $95 to $425. CLICK HERE to schedule an appointment with an attorney. Once we get to know you and provide you with all of the advice we can in the amount of time we have, we work together to determine what will be best for your case and what course of action needs to be taken. Every client has different needs and perspectives on how much or how little the Court should be involved in their case. Every client also has a different relationship with the individual(s) on the other side of their case – sometimes it’s amicable, and sometimes it is not. Once we determine the general path of the case as well as the time that could be involved, we set a retainer, which is the amount you pay in advance for attorney services about to be rendered. You can CLICK HERE for more information directly from Bethany Notaro about retainers. Once a retainer is paid and an engagement letter, or confirmation letter that we are now your attorneys, is signed, we get right to work. We will schedule a follow up meeting usually within 24 hours of signing on and we’ll begin work from there.
Once we are on board as your attorneys, our lawyers will be there to answer any questions you have and represent you in and out of Court. We’ll work with you to develop and execute a legal strategy tailored to your needs from the beginning, and we’ll pivot anytime the situation or your needs change.

About this service:
In cases where both parties agree to sign divorce paperwork, where there may be children, support, and uncomplicated assets, where both parties agree to a decision on those issues, and where one party wishes to retain an attorney to simply draft the documentation memorializing this agreement, you may choose to have our office schedule a meeting with you and file the paperwork for an uncontested divorce and draft a marriage settlement agreement. Not everyone qualifies for this service, but it might be a great fit for you if you already have an agreement and you don’t want to pursue any litigation, discovery, or other litigation actions. About this service:
Mediation is not exactly an express service, because mediating a conflict implies that two spouses wish to come to an amicable agreement, but they may need help negotiating it. Mediation is a great process for those clients to use. A mediator will meet with both parties at all times and all information is shared between the parties. A mediator does not represent either of the parties throughout the divorce negotiation, but acts as a neutral third party to guide the parties through any dispute so that they may come to the amicable resolution they seek. At the end of the process, if successful, a mediator will draft a memorandum of understanding or a mediated agreement that both parties will sign and ultimately utilize in their divorce. Parties who mediate may also have their own independent attorneys if they desire, to draft and review agreements, other divorce paperwork, and for independent counseling. Some mediating clients choose to retain an attorney and some do not. A mediator can give legal information but not legal advice in helping to mediate your case.
